Ohio High School Softball - Genoa Area edged by Montpelier

In Friday's non-league outing, the host Montpelier Locomotives softball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Genoa Area Comets.

Coming up next, the Locomotives battle the Evergreen Vikings (Metamora, OH) in a non-league outing, on Monday, May 6. Montpelier will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Vikings enter the outing with a 7-11 record after their 4-3 league loss to Archbold (Archbold, OH).

The Comets (10-9) will now prepare for their outing against Eastwood (Pemberville, OH). The Eagles enter the Northern Buckeye outing with a 15-7 record. In their last outing, Eastwood tipped Delta (Delta, OH), 6-0, in a non-league outing.
