The Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers (Glencoe, MN) softball routed the visiting Springfield Tigers (Springfield, MN), 8-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Panthers (8-4) will now prepare for their bout against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (Howard Lake, MN). The Lakers go into the Wright County bout with a 4-14 record. In their last bout, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted was routed by Rockford (Rockford, MN), 11-1, in a league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Mary's for a Tomahawk bout on Monday, May 6. Springfield will confront a Knights squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN). The Knights record now stands at 3-7.
