In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting James Buchanan Rockets softball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm.

Coming up next, the Rockets encounter the Boiling Springs Bubblers (Boiling Springs, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Colonial outing, on Tuesday, May 7. James Buchanan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record.

The Blue Storm (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Goretti (Hagerstown, MD). The Gael enter the non-league outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Goretti tipped St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD), 19-8, in a non-league outing.
