Jasper Wildcats (Jasper, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Posey Vikings (Poseyville, IN), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Forest Park for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Jasper will face a Rangers squad coming off a 19-3 league loss to Boonville (Boonville, IN). The Rangers record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, North Posey falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Pike Central (Petersburg, IN) to face the Chargers in a Pocket challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 5-11. Pike Central lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN)
