The Peotone Blue Devils softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Kankakee Kays to 0 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Peotone moves its record to 7-13 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Herscher (Herscher, IL) to play the Tigers in a Illinois Central Eight game on Monday, May 6. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 14-16. Herscher lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Morris (Morris, IL)

In their next game, the Kays play the Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 6. Kankakee will attempt to move on its 11-6 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 14-7 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL).
