South Dakota High School Softball - O'Gorman holds off Yankton

Spectators at Friday's league match between the O'Gorman Knights (Sioux Falls, SD) and the visiting Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD), witnessed O'Gorman's softball squad tip Yankton by a count of 9-7.

The Knights now sport a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Brandon Valley for a Class AA match on Saturday, May 4. O'Gorman will meet a Lynx squad coming off a 15-3 league win over Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Lynx record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Yankton moves to 7-8 on the season. The Bucks/gazelles host Mitchell (Mitchell, SD) to meet the Kernels in a Class AA match on Tuesday, May 7. The Kernels go into the match with a record of 3-6.
