Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Abram for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 8.

With the loss, Old Orchard Beach falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Seagulls host Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to battle the Black Bears in a Class C South match on Monday, May 6. The Black Bears go into the match with a record of 0-4. Maranacook lost 18-10 in their recent league match against Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME)
