New York High School Softball - Townsend Harris bounces Van Buren

Townsend Harris Hawks (Flushing, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Van Buren Vee Bees (Queens Village, NY), 18-10 in a league challenge.
The Hawks now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Springfield Gardens for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Townsend Harris will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Metropolitan (Bronx, NY). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-7.
With the loss, Van Buren falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Vee bees host Grover Cleveland (Buffalo, NY) to battle the Presidents in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Presidents enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Grover Cleveland won 22-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Architecture, Engineering and Construction (Bronx, NY)
