The Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA) baseball trounced the visiting South Western Mustangs (Hanover, PA), 13-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Penn Manor for a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 challenge on Monday, May 5. Ephrata will clash with a Comets team coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Twin Valley (Elverson, PA). The Comets record now stands at 7-11.

With the defeat, South Western drops to 2-16 on the year. The Mustangs host West York Area (York, PA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a YAIAA 3 challenge on Monday, May 5. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 12-6. West York Area won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Gettysburg (Gettysburg, PA)
