The Smithville Warriors baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Marshfield Bluejays to 9 in the Warriors non-league win on Saturday.

The Warriors now hold a 22-4 record. They take the field next when they host Grandview for a non-league test on Monday, May 5. Smithville will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Excelsior Springs (Excelsior Springs, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-12.

With the defeat, Marshfield drops to 18-6 on the year. The Bluejays travel to Joplin (Joplin, MO) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 6-10. Joplin won 10-0 in their recent league match against Carthage (Carthage, MO)
