The Niles Vikings baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host River Valley Mustangs to 1 in the Vikings non-league win on Saturday.
The Vikings now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Plainwell for a Wolverine B test on Tuesday, May 6. Niles will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 11-11.
With the defeat, River Valley drops to 7-10 on the year. The Mustangs host Michigan Lutheran (St. Joseph, MI) to clash with the Titans in a BCS - White test on Friday, May 9. The Titans go into the test with a record of 10-10. Michigan Lutheran won 20-1 in their recent league test against Eau Claire (Eau Claire, MI)
