Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) followers exited the stadium satisfied Saturday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting North Hunterdon Lions (Annandale, NJ), 5-4 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Sparta advances its record to 6-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Kittatinny Regional (Newton, NJ) to play the Cougars in a Rizk game on Tuesday, May 6. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 6-7. Kittatinny Regional won 12-5 in their recent non-league game against Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ)

The Lions now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Pingry School for a Skyland - Delaware game on Wednesday, May 7. North Hunterdon will play a Big Blue team coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Westfield (Westfield, NJ). The Big Blue record now stands at 11-2.
