The Bureau Valley Storm edged the host Henry-Senachwine Mallards softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Storm play the Biggsville West Central Heat (Biggsville, IL) in a Lincoln Trail challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Bureau Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Heat enter the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Hamilton (West Hancock, IL).
The Mallards (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 10-13 record. In their last challenge, ROWVA/Williamsfield edged Princeville (Princeville, IL), 23-8, in a league challenge.
