In Saturday's non-league match, the host Burr Oak Bobcats softball team scored a tight 1-0 win over the Cassopolis Rangers.
The Bobcats (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Mendon (Mendon, MI). The Hornets come into the non-league match with a 12-1 record.
In their next game, the Rangers confront the Decatur Raiders (Decatur, MI) in a Southwest 10 match, on Monday, May 5. Cassopolis will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 9-8 record after their 13-1 league win over Bangor (Bangor, MI).
