The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils edged the host Cass Tech Technicians softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Blue Devils meet the West Bloomfield Lakers (West Bloomfield, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 3. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to upgrade on its 16-3 season record. The Lakers enter the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 18-2 non-league loss to Groves (Beverly Hills, MI).
The Technicians (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against L'Anse Creuse (Harrison Township, MI). The Lancers enter the non-league challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, L'Anse Creuse was nudged by Port Huron Northern (Port Huron, MI), 16-1, in a non-league challenge.
