The Howell Highlanders triumphed over the host Dexter Dreadnaughts softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders meet the Stevenson Spartans (Livonia, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 5. Howell will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 2-1 league loss to Churchill (Livonia, MI).

The Dreadnaughts (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Bedford (Temperance, MI). The Kicking Mules enter the Southeastern - Red challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Bedford edged Dundee (Dundee, MI), 18-5, in a non-league challenge.
