In Saturday's non-league test, the Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) softball squad overwhelmed the host Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes (Eau Claire, WI), by a tally of 27-0.

Next, the Thunderbirds meet the Medford Raiders (Medford, WI) in a Great Northern test, on Tuesday, May 6. Lakeland will attempt to advance on its 11-4 season record. The Raiders go into the test with a 11-4 record after their 7-0 league win over Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI).

The Old Abes (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI). The Cardinals go into the Big Rivers test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Chippewa Falls was routed by Superior (Superior, WI), 4-0, in a non-league test.
