The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) and the visiting Eau Claire North Huskies (Eau Claire, WI), observed Lakeland's softball team get by Eau Claire North by a tally of 4-1.

The Thunderbirds (11-4) will now prepare for their bout against Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI). The Old Abes go into the non-league bout with a 3-9 record. In their last bout, Eau Claire Memorial was routed by New Richmond (New Richmond, WI), 13-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Grantsburg Pirates (Grantsburg, WI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 3. Eau Claire North will attempt to advance on its 6-11 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 17-2 league win over Luck/Frederic (Luck, WI).
