The Escanaba Eskymos edged the host Goodrich Martians softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Eskymos play the Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 3. Escanaba will attempt to upgrade on its 9-1 season record.
The Martians (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Walled Lake Northern edged Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI), 21-2, in a league challenge.
