The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) and the host Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL), observed Evanston's softball team get by Palatine by a tally of 9-5.

The Wildkits (4-12) will now prepare for their bout against Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Rams go into the non-league bout with a 12-2 record. In their last bout, Glenbard East tipped Elgin (Elgin, IL), 20-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 3. Palatine will attempt to advance on its 10-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 16-0 league win over Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).
