In Saturday's league match, the host Fargo Davies Eagles softball team scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Shanley Deacons.

The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Red River (Grand Forks, ND). The Roughriders go into the Class A - East Region match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, Red River tipped Valley City (Valley City, ND), 21-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Deacons battle the West Fargo Packers (West Fargo, ND) in a Class A - East Region match, on Tuesday, May 6. Shanley will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Packers go into the match with a 4-3 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to Central Cass (Casselton, ND).
