Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL), 11-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Orion improves its record to 9-17 on the year. The Chargers travel to Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL) to play the Rockets in a Three Rivers West game on Monday, May 5. The Rockets enter the game with a record of 17-3. Rockridge won 18-0 in their recent non-league game against Mendota (Mendota, IL)

The Cardinals now hold a 3-21 record. They play next when they host Pearl City for a Northwest Upstate Illini - North game on Tuesday, May 6. Forreston will play a Wolves squad coming off a 15-6 league loss to Durand (Durand, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 13-11.
