Immaculata Spartans (Somerville, NJ) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Franklin Warriors (Somerset, NJ), 8-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Immaculata improves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Spartans travel to Mount St. Dominic Academy (Caldwell, NJ) to face the Lions in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 6. The Lions enter the game with a record of 12-3.

The Warriors now hold a 2-10 record. They play next when they host South Plainfield for a non-league game on Saturday, May 3. Franklin will face a Tigers squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Old Bridge (Old Bridge, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 9-2.
