The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Holy Child Gryphons (Rye, NY) and the host Greenwich Country Day Tigers (Greenwich, CT), observed Holy Child's softball team prevail over Greenwich Country Day by a tally of 17-2.
The Gryphons (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against King (Stamford, CT). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, King was routed by Hamden Hall Country Day (Hamden, CT), 8-4, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Hopkins Hilltoppers (New Haven, CT) in a bout, on Wednesday, May 7. Greenwich Country Day will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 11-6 non-league loss to St. Luke's (New Canaan, CT).
