In Saturday's league test, the Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD), by a tally of 10-5.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Gayville-Volin Raiders (Gayville, SD) in a Class B test, on Monday, May 5. Viborg/Hurley will attempt to advance on its 4-8 season record. The Raiders go into the test with a 11-3 record after their 9-0 league win over Avon (Avon, SD).
The Titans (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD). The Cavaliers go into the Class B test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Bon Homme held off Scotland/Menno (Menno, SD), 5-1, in a league test.
