The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and the visiting Washburn Millers (Minneapolis, MN), observed Simley's softball team get by Washburn by a tally of 7-5.

The Spartans (7-7) will now prepare for their bout against Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN). The Warriors go into the Classic Suburban bout with a 5-6 record. In their last bout, Two Rivers by Hastings (Hastings, MN), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Millers clash with the Holy Family Catholic Fire (Victoria, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 5. Washburn will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Fire go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 15-0 league loss to Delano (Delano, MN).
