The Swan Valley Vikings edged the visiting Standish-Sterling Panthers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Vikings meet the Glenn Bobcats (Bay City, MI) in a Tri-Valley - East challenge, on Wednesday, May 7. Swan Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 13-1 league win over Alma (Alma, MI).
The Panthers (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Traverse City Central edged Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI), 15-0, in a non-league challenge.
