In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Antioch Sequoits (Antioch, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), by a margin of 9-0.
With the triumph, Antioch moves its record to 31-1 on the year.
In their next game, the Cougars play the Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, June 2. Vernon Hills will attempt to move on its 16-20 season record. The Corsairs come into the contest with a 23-6 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Wauconda (Wauconda, IL).
