The Cranberry Area Berries softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Curwensville Golden Tide to 2 in the Berries non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Cranberry Area moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Berries host Laurel (New Castle, PA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league game on Monday, June 3. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 9-3. Laurel lost 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Bentworth (Bentleyville, PA)

In their next game, the Golden Tide clash with the Saegertown Panthers (Saegertown, PA) in a non-league game, on Monday, June 3. Curwensville will attempt to move on its 16-6 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 16-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA).
