The Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS baseball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting North Iowa Bison to 3 in the non-league win on Friday.
The now hold a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Edmond for a North Central test on Monday, June 2. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS will play a Gaels team coming off a 11-9 non-league win over Northwest Webster (Manson, IA). The Gaels record now stands at 1-5.
With the defeat, North Iowa drops to 0-3 on the year. The Bison travel to Forest City (Forest City, IA) to play the Indians in a Top of Iowa - West test on Monday, June 2. The Indians go into the test with a record of 4-1. Forest City won 4-1 in their recent league test against North Union (Armstrong, IA)
