Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ridgefield Park Scarlets (Ridgefield Park, NJ), 6-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Caldwell improves its record to 10-14 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Governor Livingston (Berkeley Heights, NJ) to play the Highlanders in a non-league game on Wednesday, June 4. The Highlanders enter the game with a record of 15-7. Governor Livingston won 9-2 in their recent non-league game against West Morris Central (Chester, NJ)

The Scarlets now hold a 19-5 record.
