Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL), 15-4 in a league challenge.

The Minutemen now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to LeRoy for a Heart of Illinois challenge on Tuesday, June 1. Lexington will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 19-11.

With the loss, El Paso-Gridley falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL) to face the Chiefs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 2. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a record of 3-17. Deer Creek-Mackinaw lost 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Tri-Valley (Downs, IL)
