The Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils routed the visiting Stafford Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Blue Devils (13-7) will now prepare for their battle against Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 19-6 record. In their last battle, Old Lyme topped University/Classical Magnet (Hartford, CT), 26-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now sport a 7-11 record.

This game is a part of the 2022 CIAC Softball State Championship (Connecticut) - Class S tournament
