The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT) and the host Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), saw St. Joseph's softball squad nip Pomperaug by a count of 3-0.
The Cadets now sport a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edwin O. Smith for a non-league match on Wednesday, June 1. St. Joseph will face a Panthers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over RHAM (Hebron, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 10-11.
With the loss, Pomperaug falls to 9-12 on the campaign.
