Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Cherokee Chiefs (Marlton, NJ) and the visiting Egg Harbor Township Eagles (Egg Harbor Township, NJ), witnessed Cherokee's softball squad tip Egg Harbor Township by a count of 8-4.

The Chiefs now sport a 11-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kingsway for a non-league match on Saturday, June 3. Cherokee will face a Dragons squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lenape (Medford, NJ). The Dragons record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Egg Harbor Township moves to 8-2 on the season.
