B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host English Valleys Bears (North English, IA), 8-6 in a league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nevada for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. B-G-M will face a Cubs squad coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to South Hamilton (Jewell, IA). The Cubs record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, English Valleys falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to H-L-V (Victor, IA) to face the Warriors in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Monday, June 3. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 4-0.
