The Union Area Scotties softball team (New Castle, PA), was routed 9-5 in Friday's non-league test with the host Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (Houston, PA)

Coming up next, the Buccaneers clash with the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers (Berlin, PA) in a non-league test, on Monday, June 3. Chartiers-Houston will attempt to improve on its 17-2 season record. The Mountaineers come into the test with a 16-7 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA).

The Scotties (20-2) will now prepare for their test against DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA). The Cardinals come into the non-league test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, DuBois Central Catholic edged Northern Potter (Ulysses, PA), 2-1, in a non-league test.
