Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dakota Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. Tri-Valley will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Panthers record now stands at 12-12.

With the loss, Elk Point-Jefferson falls to 10-11 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Beresford (Beresford, SD) to battle the Watchdogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. The Watchdogs enter the challenge with a record of 19-12. Beresford lost 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD)
