Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host The Pingry School Big Blue (Martinsville, NJ), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 30-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pope John XXIII for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. Mount St. Dominic Academy will face a squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ). The record now stands at 19-8.

With the loss, The Pingry School falls to 15-11 on the campaign.
