In Saturday's non-league game, the host Fairfield Trojans baseball team scored a nice 13-2 win over the Van Buren County Warriors.
The Trojans (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA). The Panthers go into the Southeast game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Mt. Pleasant was overwhelmed by Muscatine (Muscatine, IA), 11-8, in a non-league game.
Next, the Warriors play the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, June 2. Van Buren County will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Wolves go into the game with a 1-2 record after their 7-4 league loss to Pekin (Packwood, IA).
