The Gilbert Tigers triumphed over the host Kuemper Knights softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 31. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 20-2 non-league win over Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA).
The Knights (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Greene County (Jefferson, IA). The Rams enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Greene County was routed by Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA), 7-0, in a league challenge.
