The Plainfield Central Wildcats crushed the visiting Thornton Fractional North Meteors baseball team by a tally of 15-2 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now hold a 18-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plainfield South for a Southwest Prairie bout on Thursday, May 5. Plainfield Central will face a Cougars team coming off a 10-3 league loss to Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-10.
Next, the Meteors face the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) in a South Suburban - Red bout, on Thursday, May 5. Thornton Fractional North will attempt to advance on its 3-18 season record. The Astros enter the bout with a 10-10 record after their 6-0 league loss to Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL).
