In Wednesday's league contest, the Oxford Hornets (Oxford, PA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA), by a margin of 12-2.
With the triumph, Oxford moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Hornets host Unionville (Kennett Square, PA) to play the Longhorns in a Ches-Mont contest on Thursday, May 5. The Longhorns come into the contest with a record of 3-8.
In their next game, the Eagles play the Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) in a Ches-Mont contest, on Thursday, May 5. Bishop Shanahan will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 10-4 record after their 6-5 league loss to Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA).
