Canton Chiefs (Canton, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Novi Wildcats (Novi, MI), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Monroe for a Southeastern - Red challenge on Friday, May 6. Canton will face a Trojans squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Pinckney (Pinckney, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Novi falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Hartland (Hartland, MI) to face the Eagles in a Kensington Lakes - West challenge on Monday, May 9. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
