The Carvers Bay Bears (Hemingway, SC) softball routed the visiting St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC), 16-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Bears (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Lamar (Lamar, SC). The Silver Foxes go into the non-league bout with a 17-12 record. In their last bout, Lamar toppled Branchville (Branchville, SC), 7-3, in a non-league bout.
The Islanders now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Branchville for a non-league bout on Friday, May 6. St. John's will confront a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Lamar (Lamar, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 14-7.
