Summerfield Bulldogs (Petersburg, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Morenci Bulldogs (Morenci, MI), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Britton Deerfield for a Tri-County challenge on Wednesday, May 11.

With the loss, Morenci falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Vandercook Lake (Jackson, MI) to battle the Jayhawks in a Cascades challenge on Monday, May 9. The Jayhawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
