In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats baseball team scored a nice 18-3 victory over the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes.
The Wildcats (15-6) will now prepare for their game against Havana (Havana, IL). The Ducks go into the non-league game with a 10-9 record. In their last game, Havana was overwhelmed by Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL), 6-4, in a non-league game.
The Tornadoes (10-10) will now prepare for their game against Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Golden Eagles go into the Lincoln Trail game with a 10-12 record. In their last game, Mercer County was overwhelmed by Eureka (Eureka, IL), 13-12, in a non-league game.
