Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Jackson Fighting Indians (Jackson, MO) and the host Triad Knights (Troy, IL), saw Jackson's baseball squad knock off Triad by a count of 6-2.

Coming up next, the Fighting Indians play the De Smet Jesuit Spartans (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 6. Jackson will attempt to improve on its 28-7 season record.

The Knights (17-10) will now prepare for their match against Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL). The Eagles go into the Mississippi Valley match with a 11-12 record. In their last match, Civic Memorial tipped Freeburg (Freeburg, IL), 9-8, in a non-league match.
