The Barnesville Shamrocks (Barnesville, OH) softball routed the host Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH), 13-6 in Thursday's league bout.

The Shamrocks (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against Shadyside (Shadyside, OH). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 17-7 record. In their last bout, Shadyside held off Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV), 6-5, in a non-league bout.

The Cadets now possess a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Union Local for a non-league bout on Monday, May 8. Fort Frye will confront a Jets squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Beallsville (Beallsville, OH). The Jets record now stands at 5-15.
