In Saturday's non-league game, the host Edwardsville Tigers baseball team scored a tight 11-5 victory over the Highland Bulldogs.
The Tigers (18-8) will now prepare for their game against Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Lancers go into the Southwestern game with a 17-10 record. In their last game, Belleville East tipped Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL), 3-2, in a non-league game.
